Dubai attracted 260,000 medical tourists in the first half of 2015, up 12% from the same period a year ago and generating Dh1 billion in revenue, according to Dubai Health Authority (DHA). It expects Dubai’s medical visitor numbers to grow by 12% annually and welcome more than 500,000 medical tourists by 2020. Dubai has more than 2700 health care facilities, with a large percentage in Dubai Health Care City (DHCC), which is home to more than 130 medical centres and more than 5000 health care professionals.
