A new Dh106 million power station has begun operations to meet the emirate’s growing power demands, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority has announced. The 132/11kV substation in Dubai Academic City has a capacity of 150 megavolt amperes (MVA). “The project further strengthens the capacity of DEWA’s electricity transmission network to Dubai Academic City,” said Saeed Al Tayer, Managing Director and Chief Executive of DEWA.
